Thanks for the heads-up. Looking forward to the reduced minFeeRate. :)

I have some follow-up questions which I hope you might be able to enlighten me on.

  1. Do you happen to know when the `minRelayTxFee` change is going to go live? Will it be in the Litecoin Core 0.15.1 release?
  2. It was my understanding that Litecoin Core used to enforce the `minFeeRate` not per byte, but per kilobyte rounded up, i.e. a transaction with 1.01 kB size would have to pay at least 2 kB×minFeeRate.
Was this always only confusingly explained on the Litecoin Wiki or was that actually the case up to Litcoin Core ~0.12.0? Or was it perhaps just that the minFeeRate was 100,000 litoshi/kB and the minFee was 100,000 at the same time?
Can you perhaps elaborate how the confusion about this came to pass?
Your article appears to suggest that this is no longer the case. Could you confirm that the current network behavior today already doesn't enforce a minFeeRate per rounded-up kB anymore?
  3. The dustLimit is tightly coupled with the minRelayTxFee. It appears that Litecoin Core now has specified DUST_RELAY_TX_FEE = 300000;. Do you know whether that means that the dust output size has been reduced to 54,600 litoshi?
